THE DUTCH MINISTRY OF ECONOMIC AFFAIRS and EUROPEAN COMMISSION: 4th BioEconomy Stakeholders’ Conference

BioEconomyUtrecht2016, the fourth BioEconomy Stakeholders’ Conference, will be held on 12 & 13 April 2016 at Rabo Nederland in Utrecht, the Netherlands under the auspices of the Dutch EU Presidency.

This high-level European meeting is co-organised by the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs and by the European Commission. The conference is a part of the European Bioeconomy Strategy and Action Plan, and serves as an important input to the future orientation of the European Bioeconomy Strategy.

Keynotes speeches on the major topics of the Manifesto. Reflecting on information gathered already on day 1, and inspiring the discussion on the selected topics. Content of this part of the program will be shaped by the ongoing discussions on the focus of the Manifesto.

Working sessions towards Manifesto

A World-cafe style session to collect ideas from stakeholders. In small groups challenges and opportunities of the BioEconomy will be discussed. Active contribution of all participants is envisaged to identify effective (policy) steps from stakeholders for the transition towards a Bioeconomy.
