| Backround of the project: | The farm started breeding ostriches in 2002 with only 4 ostriches. Till 2005 the ostrich breeding and farming wasn't the main job. For the moment they have 30 ostriches, but the goal is to have 100 ostriches. Presently producing eggs, but in future also producing meat. In addition to ostriches there are emu, rheas, peacock and parrots. The annual output of farm is 300-400 eggs. Farm offers a possibility to organize seminars and other events, affording catering. Ostrich eggs, feathers, skins and bones are made into handicrafts, which they sell in a handicraft market that is situated on their yard. |
| Objectives of the project: | The aim of this project was to build a new barn, which enables among other things to incubate chicks and gives an opportunity to increase the number of ostriches. |
