| Backround of the project: |
Margus Lille was indigenous city-man before moving to countryside. He had to find a new purview, together with his changed habitat, which would grant a adequate income. People could already read about eco-products from the press and people could buy some at the market, but there weren't practically any eco-vegetables. So Mr Lille and his wife decided to develop this sphere of eco-production.
The first seeding process took place in 2003. They could start growing eco-vegetables without three-years period of transition because the fields were covered with coppice and no sign of previous economical actions wasn't identified. |

To offer healthy eco-agricultural products. |
| Main activities: |
10 hectare out of 22 hectare of farmland is covered with vegetable fields, rest of it is covered with shamrocks or something else.
In an outhouse next to dwelling-house is a small shop-floor to process vegetables, where products are cleaned, pealed, sliced and packed.
Now, people can buy these products in Rimi, Selver, Tallinn department store and in Stockmann. These products can also be purchased from other parts of Estonia, by the care of LLC Rigual. Tallinn habitants can subscribe the products directly to home by the care of Ökosahver(Eco-pantry). |
| Output and results indicators: |
"The biggest plus of eco-production for me is that I don't have to deal with any-kind of poisons and my field is alive. A dew-worm hides itself under every second turnip I pull up." |
| Experiences/lessons learned: |
"Ecological economy is more difficult than I expect," says Margus afterwards. "I wouldn't mess with it at all if I would have known that it is so difficult. I would be still living in a city. But now, I have made it so far, that I definitely continue with this work. If I can "Boil the pot" with it and all my bills are paid then everything must be okay." |
