THE OBJECTIVE OF AXIS 1 OF THE RDP
To improve the competitiveness of agricultural holdings and agricultural produce processing industry to such an extent that after the end of the programming period (after 2013) the farmers will manage in the conditions of market support and direct payment reduced by that time.

THE OBJECTIVE OF AXIS 2 OF THE RDP
The applied farming practices should ensure the stable status of the environment and agricultural land use should also be guaranteed in the regions where it is important for shaping traditional landscapes and for the preservation of high nature value areas.

THE OBJECTIVES OF AXES 3 AND 4 OF THE RDP

Diversification of rural enterprise particularly in less-favoured areas and the improvement of the quality of life in rural areas (axis 3);

Giving wider power of decision to the local level so that by 2009-2010 most rural local governments will be covered by local action groups who have developed and applied their local development strategies (axis 4).
