| Backround of the project: |
Sheep breeding is an important part of Saaremaa culture heritage. Saaremaa has over 11 000 sheep, but unfortunately the acknowledge and skills about wool processing and traditional handicraft are vanishing. |
| Objectives of the project: |
The aim of this project is to use all the resources by maximal way. This would bring on the need for product-development.
The aim of follow-up project (which applicant is NGO Saaremaa Wool) is to use the resources on a maximum way which will create a need for a product-development to find some kind of outlook as a finished product for wool of Saarema lambs. |
| Main activities: |
It is planned to build a wool-industry, buying the devices and product-marketing (NGO Saaremaa wool project). Building a wool-industry and creating (NGO Saaremaa wool project) a product-marketing center is different projects and applications by their form, but they are joined to fulfil a common aim. |
| Output and results indicators: |
The results of this project are mostly raising the benefit of sheep breeding, broadening the product assortment and hence positive impact for tourism, commerce and community. |
