| Backround of the project: | The project supports the traditional activity of areas near Lake Peipus - namely promoting the vegetable cultivation. Growing and selling cucumbers and other vegetables is the main income source in the area during the decades. To give added value to vegetables and to sell them with higher prices it is sensible to process and improve it first. The washing line allows to sell vegetables with higher prices directly after washing them or on the peak-time when the prices are low it is wise to acidify them and sell when the prices are rising again. |
| Objectives of the project: | To promote the production and to improve the working environment. |
| Main activities: | To purchase potato- and vegetable washing line which is used mainly for washing cucumbers. The vegetables are growed in the Nõmme farm at the spot but they will buy cucumbers from other farmers when the production output or need for the product rises. |
| Output and results indicators: | As the result of the project the working environment and efficiency raised. Enterprise can produce more and thus bring more money to the area. When buying cucumber from other farmers and paying higher price than in the market then the benefit will be bigger for many enterprisers. Creating added value to local raw-material. |
