| Backround of the project: | The aim of the project was to clean the Äksi Mud River that flows out of Lake Saadjärve from sediments and reconstructing the mill dam regulator. They had to accomplish those works because the concrete parts of the regulator were in bad condition. Namely the concrete parts of mill dam’s regulator were about to collapse and close the river instead. While the Mud River is the only outflow of Lake Saadjärve then the good situation of regulator is crucial. Cleaning the Mud River from sediments was important to stop the inosculation of the river and to retain the navigable part of the river to drive to Lake Saadjärve by boats. |

| Output and results indicators: | Project had an added value. Mud river is now navigable for half of kilometre by small boats. Now people can enjoy a really nice river part where you can drive comfortable by boat or water-wheel to lake Saadjärve. The lake is is now more beautiful and enjoyable for local people and tourists. The area will be as attractive as it is till Lake Saadjärv retains its fishy and clear water. Also the attractiveness of the area was raised thanks to the navigable part of Mud River to Lake Saadjärv. |
| Experiences/lessons learned: | The innovation of the project is that it wasn't a project to teach somebody to eliminate the consequences but to prevent the arising problem when nothing haven't happened yet. |
