Backround of the project:	SEE (self-employed entrepreneur) Mart Ruumet is an organic producer and acts in vegetable farming sphere. The aim of the entrepreneur is to produce healthy vegetables especially for people, using the ecological way. 600 square meters of organic producing land is covered with greenhouses and about 1 hectare is covered with vegetables on campestral. The rest of the land is for crop rotation. The producer has act in organic vegetable farming sphere for over 20 years and has been a certificated vegetable producer about 7 years. A third of the production goes to his husband’s tourism-enterprise, one third goes to organic shops and the rest goes to usual stores because there is a lack of specific markets in Estonia for organic production yet. To this day, the greenhouse was heated with coal which needed too much energy, time and money; and it wasn’t environmentally friendly enough.
Objectives of the project:	Supplying the greenhouse with heat, which comes from burning the chips.
Main activities:	The burner-head (with bin and accumulation tank) was purchased to supply the greenhouse with heat. The chips come from their own wood. Making the chips will be subscribed to as a service.
Output and results indicators:	The result of this project was that producing got cheaper (saving from producing costs), environmentally friendlier and more automatized. The heating device has a bin which must be filled 1-2 times in winter and according to needs in autumn and in spring. The whole heating system regulates itself which means a lot of saved time for producer. While the wood comes from their own forests, it means that there will be an additional saving from heating costs. And while the wood is renewable energy, it means that the whole producing process is environmentally friendlier. There are 10-15 degrees at the greenhouse in the winter and at the other times 20-25 degrees. It depends on what is growing in the greenhouse at this time.
Experiences/lessons learned:	The applicant is very satisfied with the investments. He thinks that the project had a very positive outcome – as the result of the investment there was a significant save from costs and the whole process got more comfortable. The follow-up activity will be building a new greenhouse.
