AGENDA SWG SCAR AKIS 6 - 4th Meeting
Brussels, Belgium 22-23 November 2023
The meeting is hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture of Flanders and will take place on 22th and 23th of November in Brussels. The meeting will be physical unless a major outbreak would occur.

Its specific role is to discuss the following topics defined in the 6th mandate:
- Implementation of the CAP AKIS Plan
- Recent developments and discussion
- Role of the CAP Networks and coordination bodies in supporting AKIS
- How can procedures on cooperation be simplified
- AKIS in EU widening countries and beyond
- AKIS responding to challenges
- AKIS in the challenge of innovation a view from the Horizon Europe program
- AKIS and SCAR Foresight
- AKIS for rural innovation
- AKIS for co-innovation
- Strengthening advisory services
- Cooperation as key element in co-innovation: cooperation with different partners.

11.30 – 12.30 Presentations from MS on good practices and discussion on AKIS coordination
12:30 – 13:00 Role of AKIS coordination in the whole system, for instance with NCPs, schools etc. – discussion and possible start for a policy brief

14:30 – 16:30 Future of AKIS beyond 2027
- Introductory presentation on the SCAR Foresight by Krijn POPPE
- Brainstorm in small groups on future of AKIS after 2027: what will be the main drivers, which type of farmers, influence of ICT, new instruments, what support is needed from CAP and Horizon, etc.
