The objective of the conference was to give an overview of live rural and agricultural policy developments, particularly of the new challenges the European Union and the world have to face, and to improve the dialogue between rural entrepreneurs/agricultural producers and politicians. The intention was to open the subject of the future of the EU Common Agricultural Policy and food security as widely as possible. Therefore, representatives of different countries had been invited to take the floor at the conference.

In 14th of June Estonian University of Life Sciences organised a seminar on the development of Estonian rural economy, that was a prologue of the conference. More information www.maainfo.ee...
Working languages of the conference were English and Estonian.
