LOCAL RESOURCES AND ENVIRONMENT - Forest Trail
The “Forest Trails” projects aim is to diffuse a completely new concept of forest therapy tracks and the multisided use of forest in Europe. In Ikaalinen,Finland was developed a special concept of forest tracks which has been studied in its psychological and physiological effects in university level. The track contains several exercises which must be done with certain intervals (timing) in the forest. The effects of this kind of track are measurable directly in the human beings physiological valors (cortisol level, stress level, immunological level of cells). Within the transnational collaboration the scope is to diffuse this unique track idea and increase also the possibility to healthier live for persons also in different countries as well in Finland. The multiple use of forest property and areas can promote also the rural tourism as well the sustainable use of forests and other economical aspects. Within the project were established the first private wellbeing enterprise paths as well the first “Wellbeing tracks” in Sweden, Luxembourg and France. Read more HERE

LOCAL RESOURCES AND ENVIRONMENT - Growing Gastrounauts

The main objective of the project is to strengthen links between schools and local food producers. The aim of the project is to study the implementation options of short supply chain from producers and processors "from farm to pot", exchange experiences and to learn from each other. The second objective is to teach children practical examples, farm work, food preparation, etc. The project activities are divided into two groups:
1. Activities oriented towards school children; Called "farm to fork", it includes activities during school hours or after school, it helps to better understand the whole process starting from farmers contribution till the final product is in the market by offering students to see and experience the whole process – in their own country or in some other country.
2. Activities oriented towards staff of schools and pre-schools/nurseries. Together with partners they are organizing a variety of events and thematical days, which are related to topics of local food and eating habits, such as exchange of school cooks in individual partner country, in England and in France; introducing the values of local food to children. As the result of the project, a number of movie clips will be produced to make the learning process more interesting together with the interactive cookbook, that is translated into English, French and Estonian. LOCAL RESOURCES AND ENVIRONMENT -
Management fishing in the Lakes Finjasjön and Bosarpasjön. The Transnational Project: Developing Methods of Management Fishery and Utilization of Haul

In this international project, various methods for restoring the balance in fish communities have been implemented in lakes with algal blooms. We have developed and refined fishery strategies with the purpose of minimizing the costs and protecting and promoting the valuable predatory fish.
By fyke nets and seines, we have fished up bream and roach. A consequence of this fishery was clear lake water that in turn improved the recreation area and increased the tourist value. The fish catch was successively used by humans as food. The small fish became an excellent feed for storks in a stork breeding project.
