Rural Network since 2015

What Rural Networks are?

According to European Union legalization, all European Union member-states have established Rural Networks.

The first period of activities in 2007-2013 (COUNCIL REGULATION (EC) No 1698/2005 of 20 September 2005 on support for rural development) is supported by the European agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD).

The second period of activities in 2014-2020 (REGULATION (EU) No 1305/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 17 December 2013 on support for rural development) is supported by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) and repealing Council Regulation (EC) No 1698/2005).

European Rural Development Network is a rural network established on European level.

Estonian Rural Network main aims of activities

The main aims of Estonian Rural Network are to improve the quality of Estonian Rural Development Plan (RDP) implementation and to increase the involvement of target groups and inform wider public and potential beneficiaries about rural development policy.

The new aim since 2015 is to contribute on the development of innovation in agricultural, food, forestry and rural sectors.
